The Florida National High Adventure Sea Base is owned and operated by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America to offer unique educational aquatic programs to our members. Located in Islamorada and on Summerland Key in the beautiful the Florida Keys as well as Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco Island, Bahamas, the heart of the Florida Keys, the near shore reefs and crystal clear waters offer unparalleled opportunities for long term and short term programs year round. Dreaming of a tropical island with fish everywhere! Then come join us at the Brinton Environmental Center for a great High Adventure. Winter break is a wonderful time to come. Scuba Adventure

If you are a certified diver, this is your program. During your program you will be making as many as nine dives (weather permitting), including a night dive. We have open dates beginning in the fall and for 2009. Check out the dates today. Make your reservation now.

Sea Exploring!

The name invokes visions of pirates sailing the high seas of yesteryear. This adventure is for larger crews of 18 to 20 participants. Sailing on a Tall Ship with your troop you will be making memories that you will share for the rest of your life with anyone who will listen. Be sure and check out the dates we have open. We can fit your schedule to meet your needs with these great dates.

Live-Aboard Diving - 2008 Dates still available!

The Florida Sea Base has combined the sailing and SCUBA diving programs for one incredible adventure! On this adventure, you will spend your days not only SCUBA diving, but also sailing around the Florida Keys. There are openings this fall and winter. Keys Adventure - Fun in the Sun

This exciting program offers a potpourri of aquatic activities that can only be experienced in the Florida Keys! Prime dates are open now. June 4th, July 24th, and several arrival dates in August. September and October! Log in now to book your reservation.

SCUBA Certification

The SCUBA Certification program is designed for participants who want to get certified to dive — all participants who complete the week successfully will be issued PADI certification! Come learn how to dive in the beautiful waters of the Florida Keys.

Letter from the Registrar

Thanks to everyone for the great response in sending in your deposits for 2009, as well as final payments for the 2008 summer season. Please do not contact Sea Base to ask if your payments have been received. You may view all your payment information online by logging into your account. Please give us about three weeks to process all of the payments we have received. Your reservation will not be cancelled without notice: someone from the Sea Base will contact you to make sure the check has not been lost in the mail. We look forward to your attending the Sea Base in 2008 and in 2009!

Summer of 2008 crews. Please remember that your crew roster can be filled out on your account now. It is very easy to do now. Make a copy for your records and Sea Base will download it from here before your arrival. Don't forget to fill in the information about where you will be the night before your arrival. We may need to contact you before you get here. Don't forget those all important photo id's. See you soon!
